Cisco Netacad Student Guide

1)(!!!Redeem Tokens) Open up Firefox browser, in the web address enter www.netacad.com which takes you to Cisco networking home page.

2) Press the insert key plus the escape key. Then press the insert key plus the F7 key which opens up the element list. Press the r key once this, takes you to Redeem Seats press the tab key three times which takes you to the move button and press the enter key once.

3) You will now be taken to the self enrolment web page. Press the tab key three times and press any of the arrow keys once to highlight the radio buttons. Use the arrow keys to select I am new to Netspace radio button.

4) Press the tab key once. This takes you to the first name edit text box, enter your first name.

5) Press the tab key once. This takes you to the last name edit text box and enter your last name.

6) Press the tab key once. This takes you to email address edit text box, enter your email address.

7) Press the tab key once. This takes you to seat token edit text box, enter the token number that the lecturer has given you. Press the tab key once. This takes you to the submit button and press enter.

8) After entering Cisco details you will be taken back to the self enrolment page. NVDA will not tell you if your enrolment into the Cisco class and account was successful. Press the tab key continuously until you come to the radio button. NVDA will tell you I currently have a net space login radio button checked 1 of 2. If not press the up or down arrow key to move between the radio buttons so that you are on the I currently have a net space login radio button.

9) Press the tab key once. This takes you to Net space Screen name or email. Enter your email address and then press the tab key once.

10) This takes you to the seat token, enter the token number that the lecture has given you and press the tab key once. This takes you to the submit button and then press the enter key once.

11) Login to your personal email account where there should be an email from Cisco netacad with your username and password details. Close Cisco Networking Academy homepage or tab in the browser and open a new tab, browser or webpage and www.netacad.com and press enter.

12) Press the insert key plus the F7 key to open up the element list and type fo in lower case to get to forget password and then press the tab key 3 times. This takes you to move button, press the enter key and then press the up arrow key 4 times to be on the screen name edit text box. Enter your username from the Cisco email and then press the tab key once to be on the password edit box. Enter the password from the Cisco email and press the tab key once to be on the sign in button and press the enter key once.

13) This takes you to the Terms of use webpage and press the tab key 5 times. This takes you to the country/region drop down menu box use the up and down arrow keys to select your country or region. Once selected press the tab key once.

14) This takes you to the birth date drop down menu box. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the month and then press the tab key once.

15) This takes you to the day of the month date selection. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the date and then press the tab key once.

16) This takes you to the year date selection. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the year and then press the tab key twice. This takes you to a check dialog box that says: you have agreed to the terms of use. Press the enter key once and then press the tab key once. This takes you to the submit button and press the enter key once.

17) This takes you to a new webpage where you must enter a new password. The mouse cursor will automatically be in the password edit text box, enter your new password and then press the tab key once. Retype the password again for the enter again edit text box and press the tab key once. This takes you to save button and press the enter key once.

18) Press the tab key 9 times. After you have selected the amount of practical experience in the IT field this takes you to the save button and press enter.

19) This will take you to your net space homepage. Press the insert key plus the F7 key which opens the element list. Type le in lower case which takes to the learn word press the tab key 3 times to be on the move button. Press the enter key once and then press the tab key once. This takes you to the first course you are doing in Cisco. If you are doing more than one Cisco course use the up and down arrow keys. After selecting the course press the enter key.

20) Press the insert key plus the F7 key and type ho in lower case press the tab key 3 times to be on the move button and press the enter key. This takes you to the home link with a list of other links such as assignments, discussions, grades, people, pages, files, syllabus and quizzes. You can select the other links by pressing the tab key or using the up and down arrow keys.

Student Guide Assignments

1) Follow the student guide up to step 20 and select the assignment link and press enter.

2) Press the tab key 14 times to get to the various assignments available or press insert key plus the F7 key and use the up and down arrow keys to select the assignment name. Press the enter key, the exam window should load but this does not currently happen so you must now go on to step 3.

3) Press the insert key plus the F7 key which opens up the element list. Using the up and down arrow keys find the name of the assignment and have it highlighted by being on the assignment name. Press the tab key 3 times to be on the move button and press the enter key.

4) Press the tab key once. Press the down arrow key twice to highlight the load activity in a new window button and then press the enter key once.

Student Quizzes

1) Follow the student guide up to step 20. Press the insert key plus the F7 key which opens up the element list and type ho all in lower case. This selects the home word. Press the tab key 3 times to be on the move to button. Press the enter key once and press the tab key 8 times which takes you to the quizzes section and press the enter key once.

2) Press the tab key once which selects the first quiz available. If there are more than one quiz use the up and down arrow keys to select the various quizzes. After selecting the quiz press the enter key once which opens up information regarding the due date, points, questions and time limit. Press the tab key once which takes you to the button: start the quiz or if you stopped the quiz it will say: resume quiz. Press the enter key once which opens up the quiz dialog box.

3) Press the insert key plus the f7 key to open the element list and then select the name of the quiz and press the tab key 3 times. This takes you to the move button press the enter key once and press the tab key twice. This takes you to the various radio buttons. To select your answer use the up and down arrow keys between the various radio buttons. Press the enter key to save your answer then press the tab key once to be on the submit button. Press the enter key once which takes you to the results of the quiz.
