Here is the Students' Area for the OSX short course. Enrolled students enter here for information and lecture notes.

CAVI is running a brand new short course teaching Apple's OSX. The course has a run time of 4 weeks but could run longer. The following is a basic list of topics to be covered. We could add to this based on student interest:

Switching from Windows: What you need to know to make the switch.
Voiceover: General usage and navigation, quick nav, prefferences, trackpad, numpad and keyboard commanders, activities
OSX: Using the Finder, dock and menu/notification bar, system prefferences, security settings.
safari: Surfing the net with Voiceover
The App Store
apps such as mail, calendar, reminders, and messages
Text editing and the cursor
