The first thing we will do to optimize Reaper is import the keymap created for this course, which will supplement the shortcuts of your pre-existing keymap with those bound to actions that we will be using.

n.b. This keymap may conflict with keymaps other than Osara's default, with which it was designed to work.

Next comes the installation of Reapack, which gives you access to a number of collections of scripts and JS plug-ins. Consult the above link for how to install it.

Click here for information on setting up project templates?, so that you can save time by having the tasks you commonly perform in your projects already done when your new project loads.

Learn about the different pan modes and pan laws that Reaper offers and how to decide which is right for you.

Learn how to set up sub-projects for non-destructive gluing of items and uncluttering your project - consolidating tracks without losing any flexibility or control.
