Examples of Distortion

The following is a zip file containing a series of short clips that have been distorted in ways that we have discussed in class: you will find aliasing, artifacts caused by lossy compression, low bit-depth with dither, low bit-depth that has just been truncated so the quantization noise is evident and a couple of red herrings.

See if you can tell which is which. If you like, email us and let us know or talk to us about it. If you can tell us which are the red herrings and why, that would be great.
